Career in the Navy (1980 to 1994):
Qualified in the MD in Internal Medicine and Diploma in Marine Medicine of Bombay University.
Assignments such as being the Submarine doctor in USSR, the doctor with the combat divers and the first Indian Marine Commandos (MARCOS) , a physician and underwater medicine specialist at the Naval Hospital and Institute of Naval Medicine Mumbai.
Prior to release held the position as director medical research & training and adviser to the Chief of Naval Staff on Hyperbaric and Diving Medicine at Naval Headquarters.
Instrumental in planning and implementing one of the worlds highest Altitude dives in the Himalayas at Lake Pangong at an altitude of 14200 feet in 1988. This article was published in the Undersea and Biomedical Research: a leading international medical journal and is documented in the Limca Book of Records.

Establishing Hyperbaric Medicine in India:
Proposed, designed and operationalised India’s first private hyperbaric unit at the Apollo Hospital New Delhi in 1996. also finds mention in Limca Book of Records.
Over the past decade integrated hyperbaric medicine as part of a tertiary care medical care which has now treated hundreds of patients.
Diving Medicine : As an IMCA approved Level II diving physician he carries out treatment and medical examination of professional divers within the region
Compressed Air work : Provides medical support to compressed air workers who are working on the Delhi Metro projects
Research : Working with Monash University Australia for the HOLLT trial. Other research projects awaiting approval and funding from the Apollo Hospitals Educational and Research foundation and other national resources.
Doctors training : Trained doctors in clinical hyperbaric medicine who are now operating hyperbaric Units.
Divers Training : Established linkage with KBAT Institute in Singapore to conduct courses for professional divers in Delhi
